In short: the supplier named on the deal is the seller and is responsible for delivery, returns, repairs, replacements and refunds under Australian Consumer Law. Dealvana collects your payment as the supplier’s agent and steps in if a valid claim is not resolved.
Dealvana connects buyers with independent suppliers who list and fulfil group-buy deals. The supplier named on each deal is the seller. Your contract of sale is with that supplier, and the supplier is responsible for the product, dispatch, delivery, returns, refunds and warranty, and for the consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Dealvana operates the marketplace, runs the group pricing and the order process, and collects your payment as the supplier’s payment collection agent.
Some deals require a minimum number of buyers. When you join, you agree to buy the item at the group-buy price if the deal reaches its minimum buyer target by the deadline. Your card is saved securely but not charged. If a deal does not reach its target within its time window, the deal does not proceed, your order is cancelled automatically and nothing is charged, so there is nothing to refund. You will be notified by email.
Goods and services sold on Dealvana come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
These guarantees are given by the supplier who sold you the goods, and the supplier is the party responsible for providing the remedy. No supplier warranty, return period or store policy shown on this site limits them.
To request a refund, return or repair, contact us with your order details, or contact the supplier directly using the details in your order confirmation. We will pass your claim to the supplier, who must respond and provide the remedy you are entitled to.
Where a refund is due, it is made once the supplier confirms the goods are back with them, or that your order never arrived. The supplier will tell you how to send the goods back, and arranges collection of faulty goods that are costly to return. Refunds always go back to the card you paid with (any Dealvana credit you used goes back to your credit) and usually show within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
If a supplier does not resolve a valid claim within a reasonable time, tell us. Dealvana will work with the supplier on your behalf and can refund you on the supplier’s behalf where a refund is due. Your rights are not affected by how you paid: payments made to Dealvana are treated as payments to the supplier.
Need help with a return or refund? Contact us with your order number and we will come back to you within one business day.
