The rules for using dealvana.com.au: how group-buy deals work, who you are buying from, and what each of us takes responsibility for.

In short: joining a deal is a commitment to buy at the deal price if the minimum buyer target is reached. Your card is saved securely and only charged once the target is reached, or straight away if you join after that. The seller named on the deal handles delivery, returns and warranty: the supplier, or us when the deal says “Sold by Dealvana”.
By using dealvana.com.au you agree to these terms.
Dealvana is run by WD Ventures Pty Ltd (ABN 36 701 566 421). In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean WD Ventures Pty Ltd. Dealvana is an online group-buy marketplace that connects shoppers with approved suppliers. Suppliers list deals, set the price and the minimum buyer target, and fulfil the orders. We run the marketplace, the group buy and the checkout, and collect your payment on the supplier’s behalf. We also sell some deals ourselves, and those deals say “Sold by Dealvana”. For every other deal, we are not the seller.
Deal alerts are a free email with new group buys. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email. You don’t need deal alerts to join a deal. Any sign-up offer, such as a welcome credit code, has its own conditions, shown with the offer.
Group-buy deals run for a limited time and need a minimum number of buyers to go ahead. When you join a deal, you agree to buy the item at the group-buy price if the deal reaches its minimum buyer target by the deadline.
Until then, your card is saved securely with our payment provider, Stripe, and nothing is charged. On the day you join, we check that the card can cover the order total, then release that check straight away. When the deal reaches its target, your card is charged the group-buy price plus shipping, less any Dealvana credit you chose to use, and your order goes ahead. If you join after the target is met, you are charged at checkout.
If the target is not reached by the deadline, the deal closes, your order is cancelled automatically and nothing is charged. We email you either way. If we can’t charge your card when the deal reaches its target, your order can’t go ahead and we email you. While the deal is still open, you can join again with another card.
A deal can close early if it sells out, and some deals limit how many each shopper can buy. Each deal shows its price, savings, buyer target, progress and time remaining.
Dealvana credit is store credit for group buys on our site. You can get it with a welcome, voucher or referral code, as a prize, or from us directly. Each code has its own conditions, such as how long you have to claim it and how many times it can be used, shown with the code. Referral codes also have their own terms on our Refer a friend page.
Credit needs a free Dealvana account. It comes off the item price (not shipping), and at least $1 of each order is paid by card. While a deal is open, the credit you chose is held for it. It is used when the deal reaches its target, and goes back into your account if the deal doesn’t reach its target or the order is cancelled or refunded. Credit has no cash value and can’t be transferred. We may cancel codes or credit obtained in breach of these terms or given by mistake.
Every deal names its seller. When you buy from a supplier, your contract of sale is with that supplier, not with us. The supplier is responsible for the product, its description and safety, dispatch within the timeframe shown on the deal, delivery, tracking, returns, repairs, replacements, refunds and warranty, and for meeting the consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law. We collect your payment as the supplier’s payment collection agent, so paying us settles what you owe the supplier.
When a deal says “Sold by Dealvana”, we are the seller: your contract of sale is with us, and those responsibilities, including your consumer guarantees, are ours.
Change-of-mind returns are up to the seller and are set out on each deal. Your consumer guarantees always apply.
For every deal, we are responsible for the marketplace service itself: running the group buy fairly, telling you clearly whether a deal reached its target, only charging your card once it has, and helping you if something goes wrong. If a supplier does not resolve a valid claim, contact us and we will work with the supplier on your behalf, including facilitating a refund from the supplier where one is due.
Suppliers must be approved by us and accept our Supplier Terms before listing. Those terms require suppliers to comply with the Australian Consumer Law, to fulfil and deliver every order on a successful deal, to handle returns, refunds and warranty claims at their cost, and to reimburse us for any refund we make to a buyer on their behalf. Payments collected from buyers are credited to the supplier’s Dealvana balance, less our commission, and released to the supplier after dispatch under the Supplier Terms.
You agree to give accurate details, including your delivery address, and not to misuse the site. Misuse includes opening more than one account to claim codes or credit again, using your own referral code, and using a card you are not authorised to use. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms and cancel orders placed in breach of them.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees that apply to goods and services supplied to you. The seller named on the deal is responsible for those guarantees and remedies for the goods it sells. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for products sold by other suppliers, and the site is provided on an “as is” basis. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted here, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
